Safety & Security

Upcoming Safety and Security Meeting Notice – October 9th.
The Safety and Security meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 PM has been canceled. Please join us when we reconvene on Thursday, November 13th.

The Safety & Security Committee meets at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Thursday of the month in the Community Room at the Carondelet Park Rec Plex. Public welcome.

In our continued efforts to increase the line of communication between residents and the members of the Safety & Security Committee for the Holly Hills Special Business District (HHSBD), we are announcing a new email inbox that residents in the community may use to submit comments or feedback relating to the ongoing Security Patrols paid for by the HHSBD.

Email hhsbdsafety@gmail.com to report incidents or observations that are affecting the Safety & Security of Holly Hills. The inbox will be used to collect resident reported incidents and provide them directly to our hired security patrols and the Captain of the 1st District of SLMPD to better serve the residents of Holly Hills. Emailing this inbox does not guarantee any increased patrol presence but will be used by the HHSBD to make recommendations to the SLMPD and Campbell Security.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REGULARLY MONITORED EMAIL INBOX. IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE SAFETY INCIDENT, CALL 911 OR THE NON-EMERGENCY POLICE LINE AT 314-231-1212.

When communicating an incident, please ensure you include the following details:

  • Location of Incident: (Street name and number)
  • Date & Time of Incident
  • Brief Description of Incident
  • Description of Suspect(s)
  • Description of Vehicle
  • Any additional relevant details

To get the best response to an active safety incident, call 911 or the Non-Emergency Line at 314-231-1212. When the hired security patrols are on duty, they will respond to calls for service that come from the Police Dispatch. When the security patrols are not on duty, the responsibility falls back to the regular SLMPD officers that are on duty to serve the City. Lastly, calling 911 or the Non-Emergency Line creates a record of a Call-for-Service originating from Holly Hills, which impacts patrolling actions from SLMPD. If you don’t call an issue in, the Police Department won’t know issues exist in our neighborhood.
